Skinner Street United Reformed Church supports a variety of activities for the local community and we are always happy to hear from any groups who would like to use our facilities.

NEW! COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT.

Skinner Street Church has space around the buildings, used for parking but also as garden. The COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT is hoping to bring people from the local community together for fellowship as well as making the space tidy and suitable for sitting in or having a coffee with a couple of friends! You maybe able to grow some food too!

Details of when COMMUNITY GARDEN meet ups are planned, see the Church Monthly Newsletter.

The Wives and Mothers (WAMS) Group, was set up in 1965 to meet for friendship, fellowship and mutual support when needed. Although the group no longer meets regularly, all are welcome to come along on the first Thursday of the month to join in a short prayer fellowship and enjoy coffee and a chat.

Other community activities at Skinner Street include a pop-in organised by Poole Age Concern each Tuesday afternoon. Painting, juggling and badminton groups are also enthusiastic users. The Poole Dolphin Marching Band practise here and teach young people to play instruments too. As you can see, plenty of groups share the facilities at Skinner Street!

As part of the Wessex United Reformed Church (being a former Congregational church, it became part of the United Reformed Church in 1972, when the Congregational and Presbyterian churches united), Skinner Street works closely with other churches in Poole and the region.
